Trying out the snow gear in snow, instead of inside

Matt took Beck out to sled on the small amount of snow we had. (I'm not complaining. Stay away, you stupid snow.)

Ha that's a sad amount of snow.

Olive tripped Matt with her leash. I wish I got that on video.

Sad to come in.

These are kinda boring, but they're mostly for my mom.
Oh, and I love how Olive's peeing at the end of this video.

After, he sat down and had a nice graham cracker. I tried giving him hot (warm) chocolate in his sippy cup, but he didn't go for that. In fact, he threw it down so it leaked onto the carpet. Thanks, bud, like our carpet doesn't look bad enough! It's ok, I still love you.

Yeah, that's my handrail. I had just painted it and the hardware, and it was waiting to go back home to the wall. And you can see that I haven't finished painting my door. Ha. I could go on about at least two other things in this picture.

Ready for the snow. (Not really)

Beck is almost ready to brave the snow. Here he is in his new coat:

And some videos because it's funny to watch him in it.

This one reminds me of the Seinfeld where George's suit makes a noise as his thighs rub together. Anyone?

And here we are practicing sledding. My job was good to get my heart rate up.

My "weeee"ing was necessary because it made him more excited, and I also reminded myself of the Geico commercial. Anyone?

Also, I got that t-shirt when I was entering 7th grade. That was when I was 12. Only 13 years ago. Wow.

Fifteener

Yesterday was Beck's picture day, but I forgot. He must have known today wasn't the right day, because he wasn't very cooperative.

always happy with a drink.

Where oh where could the glow sticks be?

The other day I let Beck play with this container of glow sticks:

Then I notice it's empty. I look around, but I can't find them. I look in more creative places, but nope, can't find 'em. Later I tell Matt about it, and he looks in even more creative places, but nope. Today, Matt found them. In here.

I guess we would've figured it out when the balls weren't popping out. That wouldn't have been the first time I found a foreign object down there.

Vicious cycle

Warning: uncommonly emotional post.

Normally Matt puts Beck to bed, but tonight Matt was playing basketball, so the job was mine. I held out some books to see if Beck would point to any of them, and he pointed to "God Gave Us You." It's about a polar bear mom telling her baby about how she was pregnant and had a baby "because God gave us you." Kind of dorky, but also kind of tearjerky. (Pretty sure I made that word up, but I'm allowed to do stuff like that.) Beck likes to kick the books because they're at the perfect place to kick. Makes it kind of hard for me, but whatev. Well, when the story was over, I got all mushy with Beck and a tear might have glistened on my eye because he tried to poke it. Repeatedly. So I laughed. Then he laughed. Which made me laugh. Which made him laugh. And it just kept going and going. Awwwww.

Halloween

On Saturday night, Beck went trunk or treating (His mom was lazy and just put him in his skeleton pajamas.). First, he observed the scene.

Then I dragged him along to each person. I really had to pull him along because he just wanted to stare at each person. After one room, we were done because he didn't need much candy, and his little bucket was full. He found a sucker, and after he sucked through the wrapper, I unwrapped it and he went to town. Tootsie roll part and all.
