Another Haircut

We had family pictures yesterday, and I kept forgetting to cut Beck's hair. I wanted to do it a little while before the pictures just in case it was really short and it needed to grow, so of course we cut it two days before the pictures. And I fear it ended up being too short. Oh well.

I thought he was so cute with his dish towel cape.

Hiii!

Beck sometimes says, "Hi!!!" in a really high voice. I think it's really funny, and he almost never does it on cue. When he does do it, he usually puts something up to his ear as a phone. Sometimes it's a credit card, maybe a piece of paper, whatever he feels will suffice as a phone.

Croc-a-doodle-do

We have two pairs of Crocs in Beck's closet, waiting for him to get big enough to wear them. I almost missed the window of opportunity. I think they're funny.

A continuation about our pristine house

The other day, I came out of my bathroom after taking a shower. I saw this:

He did it again the very next day. And I'm guessing he might do it every day.

Beck's Rangers onesie is pretty much too small for him, but since the Rangers are doing so well, we had to cheer them on from afar. (For you, Ryan.) We had to try some ghetto mirror pictures.

I keep noticing a trend with my posts about new things Beck does. I'm always coming back into the living room, and he has done something new, and I'm always surprised.

A while ago (maybe like a month?) I left Beck on the couch to throw a diaper away in the kitchen or something, and I figured he'd hang out on the couch or fall off, but he is getting big and strong, so he'd be OK if he did. (Is CPS going to come after me now?) Well, I was in the kitchen, and I looked out to the living room, and Beck's just walkin' around. Ain't no thang. I was like, "What? How did you get off the couch?!" Apparently he's smart. Or just average. Whatev.

Well, today I looked over into the living room from my chair, and Beck had used a box to climb up onto the couch and was just chillin'. I was like, "What?! How did you do that?" And he smiled so proudly.

P.S. He walked out of the kitchen with that long-lost binky in his mouth. I have no clue where he found it.

Matt put his hat on Beck the other day and took some pictures. You can tell Matt took the pictures because it has his signature style: extra room at the top with chopped off feet.

Last month I mentioned trying a different approach since Beck doesn't like to sit still for his pictures. It worked!

We took these right before bed, so he was tired and very stoic at first.

Then we started doing really stupid things to make him smile.

Have I mentioned he has two bottom molars and at least three more teeth coming in up top? 

He got the bottom molars around Lotoja (Sept. 11). They looked so painful coming in!

So that's...let me see...ten teeth, almost thirteen. That seems like a lot!

Shoe Shopping

We have never bought baby shoes even though they're soooooo cuuuuuute because we know he'll just grow out of them so fast. Now that Beck walks, we realize he needs shoes. So here we are shoe shopping.

Here's what we ended up getting.

The cool thing about Walmart's baby shoes is that they have this little window to see where their toes are. 

You can barely see Beck's. Lots of growing room!

Notice how he tilts his head back for Matt to keep doing it. He also does that when I drop him backwards so he's upside down. Uhh you know what I mean?

Time for a change

I pretty much never do Beck's hair because it's too long. See?

Don't ask why Matt felt like Beck's arm needed to be raised.

So we gave him a haircut. I feel like he looks so different now. I keep asking him if he feels naked or cold or lighter. He never answers, though...
