18 month checkup. Better late than never.

This checkup was back in February, but I guess I should document it.

Height: 32 inches, 45% -- I think this was off because Beck was freaking out from people touching him.
Weight: 25.25 lbs, 40%
Head: 48.5, 78% -- again, this one was way off. He's likely still around 90%. :)

Everything went well except that the doctor had concerns about his speech since he wasn't saying ten words. Most people I've talked to seem to think it's not that big of a deal right now, so I guess I'm just paying attention to it more now to see if he gets better. He came up to me with his shoe today and said shoe, so that was new. (He's really into wearing shoes and making sure I'm wearing shoes.) I think he's getting better, but most times I'm just frustrated because he goes "Uh?" ALLLLL day. "Uh? Uh? Uh? Uh?" usually while pointing at something, but nothing obvious, so I have no idea what he wants. Sometimes I think he's just doing it to do it. Drives me crazy sometimes.

The next checkup is at two years, then I think it's annually after that! Seems so weird since you go like 100 times when they're brand new.

This boot was made for walkin'

We bought snow boots for Beck, and the one or two times we put them on him, he HATED them. Today he felt ready for the boot. Just one because we don't know where the other one is.

Sweet hair

I did Beck's hair like this the other day. And we went out in public.

Backtracking: August 2010

I promise this is the last backtrack. Man, I am going to stay on top of this stuff from now on.

These next videos are crazy to me because he looks so little. He's now a crazy man running around, so it's weird to see how he could barely walk.

Ok, I'm DONE catching up!

P.S. Beck is 19 months old today! Closer to his second birthday than his first!

Backtracking: September 2010

Yeah, I'm really going back this far. Sorry.

head-butting olive.

He loved Matt's water bottle.

Blurry, but a good face.

Sorry, another blurry one.

Maybe I posted these before, maybe I didn't.

Backtracking: Random pictures of November 2010

Nakey baby!

(My pictures always show stuff all over the floor. Are your floors like this, or it just me?)

Off to take a bath.

Backtracking: Random pictures from January

Beck was sick and sad.

Matt is attempting good posture, and Beck has his pacifier out of sympathy because he was sick. We took the pacifier away during this sickness since he couldn't use it as he slept anyway. Perfect timing.

Uhhh a Peter Priesthood?

Backtracking: More January 2011

Time to sled on some icy snow.

Where's your ear? More like where are your tonsils?

After seeing that second video, can you guess why this picture looks like this?

Backtracking: More December 2010

Did I ever post these? His hands were almost always headed up to rip off the hat.

Backtracking: December 2010

I've done a really bad of documenting things, so I have to make up for lost time. Last night I was going back and reading this blog, and I realized I need to do a better job because I'll like looking back and seeing what happened. So this isn't so much for you, but purely selfish. I'm ok with that.

Beck and I went to Texas at the beginning of December, and here are pictures from the only time I took pictures, apparently.

messing up his nap time to go to lunch for my mom's birthday.

Half Price books is the place for a photo shoot.

In case you don't read my other blog or needed to experience this again, this is a video of when my mom and I sang the ABCs to Beck with a Texan accent. She didn't know I was recording it.

My dad flew back with us. It's nice to have two people to entertain a 1 1/2 year old on a plane.

Baby Legs

Beck got some Baby Legs for Christmas, so I thought it would be funny to put them on him. He wasn't a fan, but they'll be cute on the next baby.

Surprise

You probably don't think much of little things like this, but this is my first kid, and it's MY kid, so I care. I came back into the living room (sounds like a billion stories I've already told) to see Beck just hanging out in the jogging stroller. I was impressed!
