Matt's parents have a huge yellow lab named Baxter. Beck loooves to hug and lay on Baxter, and he's such a good dog that he takes it. Beck is even saying Baxter, which impresses me. It seems like he's trying to talk a lot more lately. Today I was saying, "Bad dog! Bad dog!" (about Olive, not Baxter) and then I heard Beck say, "Ba do, ba do." So cute. Anyway, here is Beck and Baxter a week ago when we were at Matt's parents' house. Sorry they're dark and blurry. I took them with Matt's phone.

He'll just help himself
Today I was sick and in the bathroom (not pregnant), and I knew Beck was keeping himself busy somehow, and I wondered what he was up to. When I came out, he was helping himself to pumpkin bread. He ate the whole top layer, which had tons of chocolate chips all over it.

18 month checkup. Better late than never.
This checkup was back in February, but I guess I should document it.
Height: 32 inches, 45% -- I think this was off because Beck was freaking out from people touching him.
Weight: 25.25 lbs, 40%
Head: 48.5, 78% -- again, this one was way off. He's likely still around 90%. :)
Everything went well except that the doctor had concerns about his speech since he wasn't saying ten words. Most people I've talked to seem to think it's not that big of a deal right now, so I guess I'm just paying attention to it more now to see if he gets better. He came up to me with his shoe today and said shoe, so that was new. (He's really into wearing shoes and making sure I'm wearing shoes.) I think he's getting better, but most times I'm just frustrated because he goes "Uh?" ALLLLL day. "Uh? Uh? Uh? Uh?" usually while pointing at something, but nothing obvious, so I have no idea what he wants. Sometimes I think he's just doing it to do it. Drives me crazy sometimes.
The next checkup is at two years, then I think it's annually after that! Seems so weird since you go like 100 times when they're brand new.

This boot was made for walkin'
We bought snow boots for Beck, and the one or two times we put them on him, he HATED them. Today he felt ready for the boot. Just one because we don't know where the other one is.

Backtracking: August 2010
I promise this is the last backtrack. Man, I am going to stay on top of this stuff from now on.
These next videos are crazy to me because he looks so little. He's now a crazy man running around, so it's weird to see how he could barely walk.
Ok, I'm DONE catching up!
P.S. Beck is 19 months old today! Closer to his second birthday than his first!
