Beck must have felt guilty because he turned around and tried to quickly crawl away into the carpet with his painted feet. I grabbed him and put him in the tub, while accidentally stepping directly into the paint myself. I cleaned us off as he whimpered. Whimpered is such a stupid word that you think of using when talking about a dog, but it fits here. After putting him to bed, I cleaned up this mess, which was almost the whole gallon. It doesn't look like that much in the picture, but just believe me. It was a lot thicker than it looks. I just painted my nails last night, so they're ruined. ha. I cleaned it all up except for what is on the grout. That's gonna take more work, and I'm not sure what, so I'm going to leave that up to Matt. You're welcome, Matt!

Say no to crack
The other day, I was putting a new diaper on Beck, and I ripped off a tab. I didn't want to waste a diaper, so I used packing tape to hold it together. It worked pretty well until it had had enough movement and pee.

I almost forgot
We went to Texas right after Beck's birthday, so we celebrated again with the Texas family. He liked his cake a LOT more this time around.

Thirteen
Beck's pictures were a day late this month, and this shoot didn't capture any really cute ones. We couldn't figure out a new prop, so he's with the gorilla again. Maybe we'll take some in a chair tomorrow. I'm hoping that will make him sit. I guess we'll see.

One year checkup
Beck went to the doctor like three weeks ago, but I haven't put up his stats. Again, this doctor rounds to the percentiles, which kind of annoys me, but oh well.
Height: 30 1/4 inches: 55%
Weight: 22.1 pounds: 30%
Head: 48 1/2 cm: 90%
He also got shots at this appointment and didn't cry at all. He kinda made a whimper, and that was it.
Here he is sporting his band-aids. Sorry for the cell phone pic.
