Two. In Texas, we say dos.

Beck's birthday has come and gone, and he now says two when we ask him how old he is. It took a little while to get him to make the switch from saying one to two, but we were successful.

We had an early birthday party in Utah so Matt's parents could come hang out.

Sorry this is sideways. I tried downloading stuff to flip it, but it didn't work out, and I don't care enough at the moment to continue trying. It's cute, so you should watch it.

Then we had a party with the Texas family.

We sang to him twice, which I guess is appropriate since he's two.

He's pretty much the cutest thing in the world!

Thumbs Up

Beck is going through a phase where he willingly gives me a thumbs up when I ask for it. Next week maybe it will be the bird when I ask for a thumbs up. I just hope I have my camera ready if that happens.

One

I decided I needed to get Beck on video saying he's one while he still really is one. He used to say "one" like normal, but then he changed it to this "uh-n"-sounding thing. So I had to get that on tape. Does anyone still say "on tape" even though there is not any tape involved anymore? I had to get that on memory card...

Sorry it's sideways. And sorry you can barely hear him. I guess this was kind of worthless. I'll try again later.

This munchkin...

right here...

...only has ONE month left of being one. Am I going to be sad every year?

I freezer paper stenciled that shirt. What do you think?

Happy 4th of July!

Running around the pool and refusing to get in really wore him out.
Asleep with cake on his cheek.

Finally wearing his 4th of July clothes when it's almost bedtime.

He's learning to cheese it.

First cheesy picture at the camera. My new favorite picture.

My mom's trying to get him to pose.

He loves my rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner at the top of my lungs.

See, he's really enjoying it. I tend to put people in a trance.

Glow sticks are good instead of sparklers.

The end.

Oh, not quite...

Go Rangers

My mom has a client that has really nice season tickets to the Rangers. She gave my mom her tickets to a day game, so we went. We quickly learned why her family didn't want those tickets. SO HOT. We sat out in our awesome seats for maybe ten minutes, then we went to get overpriced ballpark food. We hung out there for a long time, then tried watching the game again. We lasted ten minutes (at most) again. Beck did really well, but I could feel the sweat dripping down my back. I learned that awesome seats are not awesome under the sun.
