This munchkin...

right here...

...only has ONE month left of being one. Am I going to be sad every year?

I freezer paper stenciled that shirt. What do you think?

Happy 4th of July!

Running around the pool and refusing to get in really wore him out.
Asleep with cake on his cheek.

Finally wearing his 4th of July clothes when it's almost bedtime.

He's learning to cheese it.

First cheesy picture at the camera. My new favorite picture.

My mom's trying to get him to pose.

He loves my rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner at the top of my lungs.

See, he's really enjoying it. I tend to put people in a trance.

Glow sticks are good instead of sparklers.

The end.

Oh, not quite...

Go Rangers

My mom has a client that has really nice season tickets to the Rangers. She gave my mom her tickets to a day game, so we went. We quickly learned why her family didn't want those tickets. SO HOT. We sat out in our awesome seats for maybe ten minutes, then we went to get overpriced ballpark food. We hung out there for a long time, then tried watching the game again. We lasted ten minutes (at most) again. Beck did really well, but I could feel the sweat dripping down my back. I learned that awesome seats are not awesome under the sun.

Easter

This year was a little more fun since Beck could do more, but he still needed a lot of help. We dyed eggs, and of course he was cracking them at first, but he started to understand that he needed to be gentle. Afterward, his fingers looked so gross.

I hid eggs in the backyard for Beck to find. When I say hid, I mean I put eggs in obvious places like in each potted plant and on each chair. I pointed out each egg, and Beck would put it in the bag I had. Why didn't I have an Easter basket? I don't remember the answer to that.

Harley helped.

Peep smores.

Those web-looking things aren't cracks.
I'm not sure why that happened, but it was cool.

Baking and licking

lick one, lick the other. lick one, lick the other.

Olive helped.

Enough with the pictures.

I like that thigh.

Last pictures from Utah

I guess I need to catch up now.

I'm not sure what was stuck on his head.
Part of a granola bar maybe?

A bad few days

Beck has been accident prone lately. On Monday, we were at our friend's house by the pool, and Beck and two friends were playing on a lounger chair. Beck started crying really hard and ran to me. I didn't think he was hurt, I just figured he was upset about something. As he got closer to me, I realized something happened to his head. One of the kids he was playing with said that he pushed him, so I guess he fell off the chair and onto the concrete, head first. He had the biggest goose egg on his head and some scrapes. The only camera I had was on my phone, so the pictures I got were really crappy. You can't really see the goose egg very well.

These were later that day:

We thought a huge bruise would eventually come, but it wasn't too bad. His head just ended up being more scratched up than we thought.

(perfectly placed bottle)

Next up: have you ever notice how almost every guy has a scar under his chin? Well Beck just earned his way into that group. He was outside with my mom while she was watering her flowers, and he tripped or missed the step or something and ended up hitting his chin on the sidewalk.

Hopefully that's all for a while!
